Update May 2017

A May 2017 Microsft security update for Windows 10 conflicted with a major routine in FileBoss resulting in FileBoss not starting on some Windows 10 systems.

Versions V3.101 and later, fix the problem. You can read more about this at the page

Configuring FileBoss

FileBoss™, has a rich set of options controlling not only the look and feel of it interface but also the warnings it presents, how files are copied and much, much more.

Below is a list of the main group of options. Note that many of the options

and settings that appear on these screens can also be set contextually, i.e. closer to where they are used in the program: from dialog, from the main menu and even some of the drop down lists on command buttons.


General

Common options that are frequently changed. Many of these are also accessible from menu items.

Startup Options

Defines what type of views are reopened when FileBoss start, how Drop Targets are handled, and what features should be started as soon as FileBoss starts.

Comparing Folders

Sets up time resolutions and Time Zone offsets for comparing files and folders.

Explore View

Specifies where folder entries will be displayed in the contents window (top, bottom or not at all), where bookmarks should be displayed, the format of window titles and allows setting file filters.

Various options for copying files including what to record in the results log, warning levels an default options for the Copy Dialog itself.
