First
Tell FileBoss which Folders to Compare
While there are a number of ways to start comparing
folders, paths or drives one of the most common is to:
In
the Navigation window find and highlight the
first folder to be compared. Right-click that
folder (or drive) and from the popup menu select
Folder Tools | Compare this Folder to
Another...
In
the Folder Selection dialog that appears select
the second folder or drive to be compared.

Second
Optional Settings
In the Compare Folder dialog that is displayed you can
simply click OK or add further refinements to what is to
be compared:
Specify
multiple file patterns that should be included
or excluded from the comparison, e.g. *.bmp |
*.gif | *.jpeg | *.jpg | -~*.* would compare all
bmp, gif, jpeg and jpg files except those whose
name begin with the tilde (~) character.
Whether
or not subfolders are to be included in the
comparison
Add
a time zone differences between the two folders
Specify
close the file times for files have to be for
them to be considered equal.

Third
Compare the Files
Click the OK button and FileBoss will collect all the
specified files into a special File Set, sort and
compare them.
FileBoss will then display the files along with the
results of the comparison. From this File Set there are
special tools to let you compare, merge or purge files
from both of the folders.
