Message Text One or more files must be selected first. When the message is displayed This message is displayed when an attempt is made to copy, rename or otherwise manipulate files and there are no files selected. Note it will also be displayed if there are files selected but they cannot be acted upon - such as trying to copy a drive. Action taken Most of the file operations performed by FileBoss, such as deleting, renaming, copying and changing attributes require that you first select one or more files to be acted upon. All of the commands on the 'Action' menu require files to be selected first as well as many of the commands on the 'Edit' menu. In addition, usually the selections cannot be drives: FileBoss can delete or copy drives - Microsoft wouldn't like that. (You can however act on all the files on a drive!)
