When the message is displayed

This message is displayed when FileBoss attempts to load options and settings from an options file (*.fbopts) created by an earlier version of FileBoss. While the options file can be loaded once the current version of FileBoss has used the file and saved it back to disk (such as when FileBoss exits) it will no longer be useable by the older version of FileBoss.

It can also be displayed when loading an older version of an options file using the Tools | Import Options... command from the main menu.

Possible Actions

Backup First
Creates a backup of the file and places it in the same folder as the original file and the continues to load the options. Typically the name is the same as the original file withCopy of put in front.

Load
Loads all of the options in the file and uses default values for any options and settings that only exist in the current version of FileBoss. When FileBoss exits the file will be overwritten with the new version and thus will not be useable by any previous version of FileBoss.

Don't Load
Does not load the options and settings in the file but rather uses the internal defaults.
