Purpose

This dialog is displayed when creating groups of search patterns that can be quickly entered into the Create Virtual Folder Dialog (see).

Format

All strings must have two parts a title and the patterns. The parts are separated by a right angle bracket.

The title is the first part and is the text that will be displayed in the drop down menu.

The patterns part contains what FileBoss will enter into the Patterns field when a string is selected. Note that the patterns can be files to include in the search (e.g. *.txt) or patterns of file to exclude from a search (e.g. -*.dll | -*.obj) or a mixture of both.

Samples:

Executables (exe, com, bat)"*.exe|*.com|*.bat

Text Search Exclude"-*.exe|-*.dll|-*.zip|-*.obj|-*.bmp-*.jpg|-*.gif
