File Manipulation to the Max
Click for more on FileBoss

The full dialog is shown below. If you want to see this dialog press the Advanced button on the right side of the small dialog.

The Advanced view looks like the following.

This Dialog can be expanded for more control over what files and folders are selected or deselected.

Qualified Paths

If a pattern is fully or partially qualified such as:

       C:\Windows\*

Or

       My Documents\My Pictures\*.jpg

the full path of each file will be examined to determine whether or not a file should be marked. If the path is not qualified, only the filename and extension will be examined.

(Note a wildcard (*) at the beginning of My Documents\My Pictures\*.jpg is not required as it is always implicit at the beginning of partially qualified paths.

Multiple Patterns

Multiple filename patterns can entered. Separate multiple patterns the bar character '|'.

Enter one or more file patterns to mark or unmark as selected. You can include the standard wildcard characters '*' and '?'. For instance "*Boss*" would find "FileBoss.exe" and "I hate my boss.txt".

Attributes

Select the appropriate attributes. These are the same attributes used when Finding Files by Attributes

Modified and Accessed Dates

Dates are rounded to the beginning of the day for After dates and to the end of the day for 'Before' dates. This means that if you specify the same day for both values, FileBoss will search for all files modified during that day: from midnight to midnight.

Size

Minimum and maximum file sizes can be entered directly, or you can follow a number with either an 'M' or a 'K' (or even an 'm' or 'k') for megabytes or kilobytes. For an unlimited maximum size you can leave the field blank, enter 1 or enter Zillions.
