What it does
This Exit Options dialog allows you to exit FileBoss without saving any options or setting or any other values to the registry. You can even use it to remove all entries in the Windows Registry controlled by the program.
These options are available if:
| • | The Ctrl key were held down when you selected the Exit item from the File menu or you clicked on the close button on the title bar |
| • | The program was started while holding down the Ctrl key. (Doing so prevents FileBoss from loading any of its options and settings effectively making it act like this was the first time it was used. |
Exit Options Dialog

Normally
All options will be saved to disk and the registry just as they would when exiting FileBoss normally
Without Saving Options
Will exit FileBoss but will not save any options to its data file nor change any registry settings.
Remove Registry Entries
Exits FileBoss just as the above option, but in addition removes the following keys from the Windows Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\The Utility Factory\FileBoss and all its sub-entries
And its five file associations:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.fbexplore
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.fbfileset
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.fbopts
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.fbwins
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.fbdzones
This option is convenient if you are just using FileBoss for a short time on one computer and want to clean up after you exit. If you performed a full install of FileBoss you should use the uninstall routine to clean up FileBoss if you are removing the program from your computer.
