Adding a Search Definition as a Template

The settings in a Create Virtual Folder dialog (see) can be saved as a template. These templates can then be used from within the Create Virtual Folder dialog to quickly reset all of its fields.

Even more importantly Virtual Folders can be created directly from a template by using the File | New  Virtual Folderfrom Template > command from the main menu and selecting one of the saved templates.

To Create a New Template

Type the name of the new template into the Enter Name for Virtual Folder Definition field at the top of the dialog.

Press Add to just add the definition or press OK to add the definition and exit the dialog.

To Save Current Settings to an Existing Template

Click on the name of the template to which you want to save the current setting.

Press Add to add the definition or press OK to add the definition and exit the dialog.

Or simply double-click the name of the template and the new definition will be saved under that name and the dialog will close.
