Cleaning Folders
Cleaning folders deletes specified files (or all the files) from a folder and, optionally, all of its sub-folders, such a backup or intermediary files.
Deleting Problem Folders
This routine can also be used to clean out files and folders that contain undeletable files as it will not stop when it encounters a problem deleting a file but rather log the program in the Error history window and continue.
Deleting Empty Folders
To delete All folders that are already empty (without removing any files first) just turn on the Delete empty sub-folders option and enter a file pattern that doesn't exist, e.g. ASDFS792W340SDF02342L.
Delete vs Recycle
Always use the Delete option rather than Recycle when cleaning more than just a few files. The Recycle Bin was not designed, and does not handle well, the removal of a large number of files. In some instances the Recycle Bin will crash Windows if too many files are added too quickly. At the very least it will slow Windows down sometimes making it appear that Windows has locked up.
